Okay, okay. I'm home, I have internet, there's no excuse. I'll throw several songs on this post and then get back to some regular posting this week.
Some oldies that I've been jamming out to lately,
Madonna - Hung Up
A Tribe Called Quest - Can I Kick It?
Atmosphere - Millie Fell Off the Fire Escape
...disgusting beat here.
Jay-Z - December 4th
Danzel - Pump it Up
...thanks Dan
Wale - The Meeting
<3 3:54 in this
Snag all those songs right here.
I'll get some real posts up this week, with new music. Consider this is a mini make-up post.

The Hood Internet and Wale
The Hood Internet has released their fourth mixtape. I have yet to be disproven that these guys are the best creators of mash-ups out there. Every mashup is clean, flawless and original. So snag their fourth mixtape here!
And in order to celebrate Wale's first album drop (Attention Deficit), here's a Hood Internet remix of World Tour, which I believe I featured a while back.
Wale vs. Black Moth Super Rainbow - World Tour (The Hood Internet Remix)
I encourage you all to grab Wale's album and support his rise to the stardom. Check out just one of his songs from the album.
Wale - 90210

Bittersweet
With the resurface of the Bittersweet Symphony sample (Jason Derulo's already overplayed soon to be top-40 hit "Ridin' Solo"), figured I might as well get around to posting this. It's an awesome use of Bittersweet Symphony anyway. Colin Munroe is one of my favorite, and when you combine him and Wale, good things happen.
Jams
This must be the rare time of the day that I can consistently get internet, so let's get right to it.
(Oh yeah, we had a free Girl Talk concert last night.)
Mike Posner Feat. Wale - Drug Dealer (Remix)
Gorilla Zoe - Echo
Big Boi Feat. Gucci Mane - Shine Blockas
Oh and p.s., here's a track I'm cutting out of A More Perfect Union. It's repetetive, not dancy and it just goes nowhere. Take it for what it is.
DJ BK - Track 3

Welcome Back
The BK Lounge has returned for the school year. Sorry for the delay, move-in was a bitch, but here I am. So let's get back to the norm, shall we?
News today:
Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM, has died at 36. Apparently, they found crack in his two million dollar apartment. That's a pretty significant loss to the music industry. DJ AM has an interesting story behind him. Philly bred, Goldstein lost his gay drug-addicted father when he committed bank fraud and was locked up. He would soon after die of AIDS. Goldstein got into drugs himself after that, and his mother sent him somewhere to clean up. Unknown to her, the place which he was sent was soon to be shut down for hitting their patients, starving their patients and other forms of maltreatment. Fast forward a couple years, DJ AM is a member of Crazy Town (yes, the band that sings 'Butterfly'), and soon would climb to fame and begin collaborating with Travis Barker. His skill as a DJ gained him international fame, and he gained respect from all aspects of the music industry. If you didn't know, DJ AM and Travis Barker were recently in a plane crash, and they were the only 2 survivors. Months of rehabilitation and recovery later, DJ AM made his return to the clubs and to music altogether and was received more than warmly around the world. An interesting story for sure.

RIP Adam Goldstein

Now, to some music.
It's only fitting to introduce DJ AM to those who don't know his music.
Check out one of his collaborations with Travis Barker, called Fix Your Face (zshare). It's an entire mixtape of Barker and DJ AM going at it; it's really impressive stuff. Check out their website for volume 2.
Moving on...
Wale Feat. Jazmine Sullivan - World Tour
(Wale's CD Attention Deficit dropping in October!)
K'naan - If Rap Gets Jealous
K'naan has got an awesome story to him as well, expect a full feature about him soon.
Wiz - I Hate College (Remix)
Shouts to Vlad for this one. Anyone that's followed this blog knows that I wouldn't be featuring any parody, remix, knock-off, etc, of I Love College unless it was pretty damn good. This unknown delivers a pretty awesome remix, so check it out.
P.S. Inside scoop from Dan Liffman, who's friends with Chiddy Bang's producer, that Chiddy Bang broke up, and the lead singer was signed. Guess we'll wait for something official from the band before we (meaning at least me) get too sad about it. In Chiddy Bang related news though, their producer, Xaphoon Jones, is releasing a mixtape! If you haven't hopped on the Chiddy Bang train yet, here's their biggest hit and one of their most creative songs, Kids, once again. My drop is going really slow, so that's the direct link from Pretty Much Amazing.

I'm Baaaaaaack
I'm back for a week or so until I leave for school, after a virtually post-less summer, I owe you guys some good music.

Recognize two of these guys? I hope by now you can recognize Kid Cudi when you see him (on the left). The man in the middle is one you know, but probably not by face. His name is David Guetta. Yeah, the Dave Guetta that created Love is Gone. Well the two collaborated for Guetta's upcoming album and this is what came out.
David Guetta Feat. KiD CuDi - Memories (drop)
Skipping the long explanations...more music.
Wale - New Soul
(sampling Yael Naim's New Soul)
Chromeo - Momma's Boy
Chromeo - Needy Girl
Shwayze - Polaroid
Shwayze - Roamin'
Matt and Kim - Daylight
Nyle - F.a.N.G.
Don't even tell me you don't remember Nyle. I've made multiple posts about him and I'm still obsessed with his rendition of Let the Beat Build. See what happens when Nyle messes around with autotune and slows things down a bit.
Black Eyed Peas - I've Gotta Feeling (Luvtek Edit)
Enjoy. Once again, consistent and daily posts once the school year begins. Look forward to it.

Brandy of the Damned
I'm going to quote an entire description of this song, pulled directly off an article at The Fader just because I think it's pretty accurate and pretty funny. Shout out to the Fader.
"It's [Ronson's] remix of one of our favorite songs on Nikolai Fraiture's Nickel Eye album, mellowed even further by some gentle hornery, shuffling snares and an almost whispered verse from Wale. If we know Ronson like we think we do, this was probably recorded in a sunken living room in front of a fireplace surrounded by models wrapped in fur drinking hot buttered rum while Nikolai stared out of the panoramic glass walls wondering when he'd get sick of being blessed (never) and Wale spit rhymes into a mic made out of frozen champagne."

Nike Boots
Wale finally released a music video for his somewhat old single "Nike Boots." It's a tight song; if you don't know it yet, shame on you.
