Zshare

Zshare has gone retarded. I don't know exactly what's going on, but they've got some major work to do. Any posts that were posted as zshare links probably won't work. I'll try to post direct links or other download sites from here on out.

T-Pain...I mean Kanye

Kanye releases a few more.

The title of this blog might speak for itself. You can judge these ones.

Kanye West - Robocop (direct link)

Kanye West - What It Is (direct link)

Kanye's
808s & Heartbreak tracklisting:

1. “Welcome to Heartbreak”
2. “Heartless”

3. “Love Lockdown”
4. “Robocop”
5. “Anyway”
6. “Streetlights”
7. “Say You Will”
8. “Real Bad News”
9. “Amazing” (featuring Young Jeezy)
10. “Tell Everybody That You Know” (featuring Lil Wayne)
11. “Coldest Winter”

So apparently that second track didn't make the cut. Anticipation builds some more, be ready on November 25th for the new album.

KT

KT Tunstall knows what she's doing. This is an unbelievable cover of an already awesome song. This cover never ceases to amaze me.

...I'd still hit it.

Oh man, wait to you see how appropriate this mash up's name is. Anyway, when I heard Titus Jones' mix, it was too good to pass up. It's fun! Like, as fun as this picture! Besides, Britney Spears is totally hot again, if you haven't seen this video of "Womanizer", don't even attempt a debate.

Got a Minute?

Actually, got 70+?

The Hood Internet is a name you should be familiar with if you're not already. They create great sounding mash ups that are masterfully done in every way; but they are featured today not for any single mashup. Their newly released mixtape, which includes roughly 34 of their mashups, is a perfect blend of creativity to make another piece of art. It's a work of creativity made up of smaller creative works. Check out The Hood Internet's Mixtape Volume 3 (zshare) and head over to their website to listen to their other mixtapes and mashups.

Oh, and by the way, the Phillies lead the World Series. 1-0. That means we're undefeated in the World Series this year.

Fightin' Phils

How 'bout them Phils?

For those of you who live under a rock, the Philadelphia Phillies are a baseball team. And every year, there's a whole league of baseball teams. They play a lot of games. And than if they win games, more than others in their division, they go to these things called the playoffs. So they play some more games, and if they win a lot of games, they go to this last series. It's like the biggest series in the season. It's like biggest series in the world. It's like a world series. Oh wait, it's the World Series, and the Phillies are in it.

Here's that old school 1976 Phillies Fever song, but with some snapshots from this season to get you reminiscing on the World Series Season.

Oh, and fuck the Rays. Do work Phils, do work.

Embrace Them

Martians are out there. We all know this. Anyone that knows anything knows that the movie Independence Day was actually live footage. They're out there.

Maybe we should take another approach to our new visitors, I mean, we can't all be as badass as Will Smith is. It's just impossible.

Maybe we should take the approach of Kid Cudi and Crookers.
Kid Cudi Feat. Crookers - Embrace the Martian(zshare).

But in other news, don't turn that stereo up too loud, and definitely don't point it upwards, unless you want to bring death to us all.

Mashed like Potatoes

Mash-up popularity seems to be skyrocketing, which I'm sure has a lot to do with the rise of Girl Talk, occasionally known as Greg Gillis. While no one may match Girl Talk's perfection and uniqueness, it hasn't stopped listeners from searching for more "mashed up" music. Well thanks to the guys over at mashuptown.com, you can have at least a gagillion at your disposal, and it seems like the website posts regularly, meaning new mashups everyday.

With mashups like this 80 minute piece of work by the deckbros, this website boasts a pretty wide variety of mashups, although I have yet to come across anything as intricate and as well put together as Girl Talk.

So where can you find music on the same level as Girl Talk? After much searching, I stumbled across an under-the-radar relatively unknown artist, Phoenix Jukebox, that has some real talent. Check out these tracks, and I encourage you to buy their CD, Grand Circus.

Stayin' Alive

Groundbreaking research on how the Bee Gees could save someone's life.
It's gotta be true. It's science.

"U.S. doctors have found the Bee Gees 1977 disco anthem "Stayin' Alive" provides an ideal beat to follow while performing chest compressions as part of CPR on a heart attack victim."

If you want to save someones life, 9 out of 10 doctors recommend downloading this and reading this.

Mo Money, Mo Cash, Mo Hoes

What do you get when you mix the hottest rapper in the game with broadway music?

Probably not what you were thinking. You might get a track like this one though. Team9's crazy concoction consists of some Jay-Z, mixed with a dash of Hard Fi, a wee bit of Abba, and a nice portion of Red Hot Chili Peppers to add that little spice we all like in our musical meal. Team9 brings all of these ingredients together to make a nice mix they like to call "The Money Song." Check out their site for some other recipes.

I'm a Bouncer at the BK Lounge

As Dane Cook once put it,

"The first job, when I was 17, was Burger King. I didn't
want to call it Burger King either cause like, you know?
So I used to call it the BK Lounge. If the girls were
like, "Where do you work?"
I was like, "I work down at the BK Lounge.
I'm a bouncer at the BK Lounge"
....Can we get in?"

Alright, what's up ladies and gents, this is the
beginning of hopefully what is a long career of music

blogging. There's just too much good music not being
noticed out there. This blog will vary greatly in terms
of musical genres. The music I post will be the under
appreciated, the remixed, the original, the music that's
just too good to be passed up on.

Unlike Burger King, expect variety here.
