Too Good To Wait On

Popping my head in for one second to share this old, but newly released, Cudi track. Chickety check it.

Make Her Say

I'm still jammin' to Cudi's new album, so in honor of Cudi's new album, I'll post you a remix of another one of his radio jams that put him on the map (of freshman college girls and simple-minded-radio-listeners). So check out the remix and be ready to jam out to the song you were sick of until now.

Kid Cudi - Poke Her Face (Sammy Bananas Remix)

P.S. Had my first college gig last night and threw this on, to much appraisal from the crowd. Last night was fucking ridiculous.

Man on the Moon - The End of Day

Happy thirsty Thursday everyone. Also known as the day before Friday or the day after Wednesday.

First of all, Cudi's new album (picture below) is dirty. It hasn't let me down and apparently hasn't let many people down all over the web; the album has been greeted with great appraisal in the blog world. There's no chance I'm going to feature more than one song, because I want you to buy the album. We've watched Cudi blow up from the beginning, those of you who have been with me and this blog from the beginning have known about Cudi months before he hit mainstream status. Now he's a common "household" name and the spotlight was on him for this new album. Did he cave in and make radio hits like "I Poke Her Face?" Nope. He opted to say 'fuck that' and delivered a pretty heartfelt album, along with a new direction of music, featuring the electronic sounds of those like Ratatat. As Common narrates the story told in Kid Cudi's album, we really get inside of Cudi's head, getting to see how he feels about stardom and about where he's going next. You really need to buy this album. Immediately. Here's just one of my favorites.

Pursuit of Happiness

Man, I feel like I've literally pulled all my latest music off of illRoots. Oh well. Kid Cudi dropped his 3rd single off the soon-to-be-released (9 days!!) album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day.

Jay and Cudi

Well, it's easier than ever to say that Cudi has hit it big time now. And sure, he's big and famous now, but just remember, we knew him before Day N Nite hit radio, before he blew up. Now that Cudi's in the spotlight though, I don't predict the quality of his music falters in the least bit. I think Jay-Z would agree with that, considering he gave Cudi the feature on this hot Kanye-produced track coming off of Blueprint 3. Chickety check it.

Jay-Z Feat. Kid Cudi - Already Home (drop)

Yes, it's true that most of Jay's album has leaked, but you should know me by now; I won't be posting more than a track or two from the album; I hate hate hate that full albums get leaked before the official release. I've given a lot of the CD a listen though, and it sounds like a hit or miss album to me. Some songs are unbelievable, and some are just ehh at best.

P.S. Finished track 6 of "A More Perfect Union;" it's getting there.

I'm Baaaaaaack

I'm back for a week or so until I leave for school, after a virtually post-less summer, I owe you guys some good music.

Recognize two of these guys? I hope by now you can recognize Kid Cudi when you see him (on the left). The man in the middle is one you know, but probably not by face. His name is David Guetta. Yeah, the Dave Guetta that created Love is Gone. Well the two collaborated for Guetta's upcoming album and this is what came out.

David Guetta Feat. KiD CuDi - Memories (drop)

Skipping the long explanations...more music.

Wale - New Soul
(sampling Yael Naim's New Soul)

Chromeo - Momma's Boy
Chromeo - Needy Girl

Shwayze - Polaroid
Shwayze - Roamin'

Matt and Kim - Daylight

Nyle - F.a.N.G.
Don't even tell me you don't remember Nyle. I've made multiple posts about him and I'm still obsessed with his rendition of Let the Beat Build. See what happens when Nyle messes around with autotune and slows things down a bit.

Black Eyed Peas - I've Gotta Feeling (Luvtek Edit)

Enjoy. Once again, consistent and daily posts once the school year begins. Look forward to it.

Sky High

I posted the Benzi & Plain Pat "Sky High" mixtape a while ago, but I just gotta highlight this Cudi track from it. It's just dirty. So if you didn't download the mixtape, check this ish out now. Cudi threw it on his mixtape, Dat Kid From Cleveland, as well. So check out Cudi's mixtape and specifically, this jam from the remixed Kanye album.

The Hood Internet

The Hood Internet might be the best mash up creators I know of. Every mashup I've featured of theirs (check out the other features by going to the somewhat newly added 'tags' in the right column) is so clean and perfect. They're on top of their shit, remixing new music all the time. Here's a couple of the hip hop class of '09 mashed up, directly from their website (linked above).

ABX - I Love Friction (Asher Roth vs. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart) (direct)

The 'chug, chug, chug, chug, etc.' part is dirty.

KiD CuDi - Higher Up (drop)

"If I was ever wrong, this moment ain't it."

New Cudi mixtape drops Monday.

Speaking of Cudi, you might as well grab this new Chiddy Bang track I copped from Pretty Much Amazing.

Told You So

As predicted, the CDQ of Cudi, Common, and Kanye's track, with A-Trak on the cuts, is out. Here ya go! Bask in its greatness. Eat it Lady GaGa.

"I got seniority, with the sororities, so that explains why 'I love college.'"

Kid Cudi feat. Common & Kanye West - I Poke Her Face (drop)

And The Lonely Island made another video for another hilarious track off of Incredibad. Featuring Seth Rogan too!

Sharam and Cudi

Don't have much time to elaborate on this, I'm kinda on my way out. But check out this Cudi joint with Sharam (pictured).

Cudi is not retiring anymore. Announced by Cudi himself, here it is, in the first minute or so, followed by Man on the Moon, and others.

Transformers 2

Cudi hit it pretty big time. Somewhat old news but still exciting.

Cudi's newest, "The Sky Might Fall," is featured on a Transformers 2 preview.

Snag the mp3 here.

Asher Roth and Kid Cudi

Alright, one post before bed. It's not even an mp3 anyway.

You probably could guess what I'd be posting if I had to make one post before I catch some Z's.

Yup. More hip hop class of '09. Kid Cudi and Asher performing at the Famous Stars And Straps afterparty at Magic. Cudi absolutely kills it and Asher does his thing.

Funny, I've already got a post named "Kid Cudi and Asher Roth." Hm....

'09 love baby, embrace the future.

More Class of '09

Kid Cudi has released an incredibly artistic video of Day N Nite:

Chamillionaire spits a verse over Asher's "I Love College," it's the first decent verse I've heard over this song since it came out.

Kid Cudi and Asher Roth

Two of the greatest rappers from the upcoming freshman rap class together, spitting some freestyle. Consider this a preview of faces of the future and remember you heard that here, way back when.

Oh, and while I have your attention, I'd like to point out Kid Cudi's Day N Nite has been getting consistent radio airplay lately here in February. Just thought I'd give you a "I Told You So," by noting that I posted Day N Nite on November 7th, 2008. So hey, now you know, I'm giving you some premium music before it hits mainstream. Al

Anyway, check out Asher and Cudi going at it.

The Next Big Thing

Introducing...Kid Cudi.

I'm expecting this Cleveland rapper to gain Kanye West like status. This kid's going to be huge; it's just a matter of time when it hits mainstream. He is our near future. Right now, everything he's dishing out is straight fire. Although I've featured him a few times, he's worth getting his own entry. Kid Cudi. Remember the name.

And We Can Pop Bottles All Night...

First of all, Barack Obama is the new president of the United States; that's awesome. Props to anyone that voted, regardless of who you voted for.

I've got two awesome things to share with you today. One would be this video, it's pretty awesome, technology is ridiculous. This is 100% real for those of you haven't seen this.

The real treat I have for you has been on repeat on my itunes for about 24 hours. I can't get enough of it. Discotech absolutely tears this remix up. Bow in its greatness. Expect this to be in many, many sets I use when I DJ from here on out.

Discotech - Whatever You Like (DiscoTech Remix) (direct)

On a sidenote:
Here's another track off Kanye's new album. All this song deserves to be is this, a sidenote. It could grow on me though, who knows? "Coldest Winter" has already begun to grow on me a little.

....Good news though, Kid Cudi may have been put on the map by this one. I'm slightly in love with Kid Cudi. No homo. At least Kanye recognizes talent.

Kanye West Feat. Kid Cudi - Anyway

P.S. For those keeping track, that's 5 out of 11 tracks off of 808s & Heartbreak that have been released/leaked...so you'll only be hearing 6 new tracks of Kanye's when you buy this CD.

Make-up Post

Sorry for lack of posts! Halloween was busy as balls. Halloween, slutty dress up day, is an awesome holiday for dudes.

I've got some awesome tunes for you to make up for lack of updates. So, maybe we can still be friends. Any zshare I use from here on out will be straight to download, so you won't be able to listen to it first, until they get their shit straight.

Usher - Love in this Club (MSTRKRFT Remix) (direct)

Kanye West - The Stalker Song (Never Lettin' Go) (zshare)
Britney Spears - Womanizer (Teenagers Remix) (direct)
Kid Cudi - Down and Out (direct)
Metric - Monster Hospital (MSTRKRFT Remix) (direct)

And if you haven't heard or jammed out to Katy Perry's Hot N Cold yet, you're a whore. But here's the rock remix; nothing too different, but you'll hear the difference.

Some side notes:
-Michael Jackson has officially turned down a Jackson 5 reunion tour. Not cool.
-Lil' Wayne is an asshole.
-November 4th is election day. "You can vote however you like."

More to come. Much love.
