Some great visuals to match some introspective Eminem-Dre lyrics with an unbelievable hook by Skylar Grey (see Lupe Fiasco's "Words I Never Said," Skylar Grey is killing it).
I dig it. Ignore the product placement in this video and enjoy.

Throw Some Paper Planes Over The Wonderwall Forever
Yeah. Mash-up names are usually pretty awful. But the actual mashup isn't, so that's always nice. Check out Dino Roc's DJ AM Tribute Mash. It's got "Forever" in it, which seems to be everyone's favorite song since it came out. It's been growing on me as well, for its lyrics at least. And if you know me, I'm sure it comes as no surprise when I say that I think Lil' Wayne's got the worst verse. My favorite line goes to Kanye. "You're such a fuckin' loser, he didn't even go to class, Bueller." Anyway, check out the recently released video for Forever, as well as Dino Roc's mashup.

Surprise!
Summer is really throwing off my blogging "schedule," and I leave mid June for the entire summer, so there won't be any music posted for the whole summer (unless someone wants to take over, let me know).
Well, the biggest surprise the music world has brought comes from an old familiar face.
...welcome back to the game DMX. Fresh outta prison, X already has two albums set to drop later this year. Shouts to illroots for this track. I dig it.
DMX - The Way It's Gonna Be (drop)
Now, on with some other assorted music, news, etc.
News:
-Jay Z has bought out his own contract with Def Jam. Significance? He's no longer on any label but his own, and now has control of every single aspect of his music. Complete freedom. Synopsis: Jay-Z is the fucking boss.
-Eminem shoots to number 1 in album sales, with number that look to be on their way to 650,000. The music industry is eating every bit of this up, Eminem's influence over the music world has not faltered in the least bit.
-Recently went to the Brother Ali and Atmosphere concert. Awesome show. Atmosphere sounds just as good as he does on his albums. Rocking some adidas shorts, a Jim's steaksandwiches tee and a windbreaker, Slug (Atmosphere's MC/rapper) just looks like any ordinary guy, which is what he seems to want. He gets the crowd actively involved, uses some improv and cracks jokes wih the audience. Slug comes out to shake each fan's hand before the show starts, the respect and grattitude towards his fans is obvious. Brother Ali was an unknown to me, but his music is very similar to Atmosphere, and his talent is equal. Check him out later in this post.
Where has Eminem been you ask?
...onto some more music...
Charles Hamilton Feat. Crooked I - Tears of Fire
-Hamilton's sampling skills are unreal and seem to be unmatched in the upcoming artist. I'm starting to think he should be producing beats and handing them off, or sharing them at least.
Brother Ali - Take Me Home
-Feel good summer song, resembling Atmosphere. No surprise that they're on the same independent label and from the same hometown of Minneapolis.
You may notice that Brother Ali is albino. All the more respect for making something out of himself.
Brother Ali - Good Lord

Eminem
New track from Relapse, called Insane. It's...insane. Some really fucked up shit in here. For those of you concerned over that accent Eminem has had on his latest releases, this should ease your fears at least.
I also feel like people don't know what's been up with Eminem before this. He's been in and out of rehab for several years, addicted to medication he was taking. He claims he couldn't even remember the last time he recorded a track completely sober of drugs and alcohol, and that this album was like starting over for him. So this album, aptly named "Relapse," is more than just a comeback to music for Marshall Mathers, it's a comback to a real life really. Hopefully this will be the first of a few more albums as Eminem gets his life back on track.

Old Times Sake
I've gotta leave for a final in four minutes. But suck on this until my next post. Eminem's next release from Relapse, featuring Dr. Dre.

White Rappers
Asher and Rick Ross's albums were released the same week (maybe same day, I don't know or care too much), in case you haven't heard. Well, that's not the only thing they faced off in.
And a new Eminem track off of Relapse. It's 'eh.' May 19th debuts the comeback of Eminem.

New Eminem
Em drops his latest, "We Made You," and what do you know? It sounds exaaaaaaactly like his old stuff. This doesn't blow me away really, but it's good to see Em back. Jessica Simpson on the hook, really? Not sure. The video is hilarious though, enjoy "cameos" of Jessica Simpson, Elvis, Sarah Palin, Tony Romo, Britney Spears, Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer, Amy Winehouse and the Rain Man. No mercy from Eminem on this one.But also, real cameos of Dre and 50, the 3 headed monster, even if they don't have any airtime in the song.
"Relapse" comes out May 19th.

Happy New Years!
New years goodies!
Cousin Cole, yes the Cousin Cole, remixed "Jizz in my Pants." It's frickin awesome.
Jizz in My Pants (Cousin Cole House Edit) (zshare)
Here's the original video for those who live under a rock. I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy the original song the same way after this edit just shat on it.
Oh, and if you do live under that rock, you also don't know about Eminem's new album dropping soon. I'm pretty anxious to hear what Em's been up to, I think I have more anticipation for Eminem's "Relapse" than I had for Kanye's new album.
I mean, if every track is as good as this one, then Eminem is back. We missed you Em.
Eminem - Crack a Bottle (sharebee)
Lastly, I've got a wrap up of 2008 for you. Quite literally. Every year, Skillz wraps up the year in a nice rap for us. Well he's back again to look back on 2008 with us, highlighting the bests and worsts.
"Wayne sold a milli in a week, but in 7 days, I got sick of the A Milli beat."
Skillz - 2008 Rap Up (sharebee)
(P.S. Here you go Marc! LMNT - Hey Juliet. If you haven't heard this, then you must have downs syndrome. Download it asap if you're that dumb.)
