Wait, What?

Simple. Mash Up. XX vs. Notorious B.I.G. It's chill. It's awesome. That's all.

djDOYOU

I'd be surprised if you haven't heard of djDOYOU's work already. "Stuntin' Like Mufasa" has blown up all over the next, but who knows? Maybe you're way behind on the game. djDOYOU has taken several Disney songs and mashed them with some of our favorite hip hop songs. The creativity of it blows me away. Well done deejay. Check a few out here, but cop the whole mixtape here.

djDOYOU - Stuntin Like Mufasa (Simba vs. Lil Wayne)
djDOYOU - Rock the Boat Under the Sea (Ariel vs. Aaliyah)

New Track!

I can't just sit around and not mess around with music, even right after I finish a mixtape. Needless to say, I've created another track for your enjoyment and mine. I'd recommend listening on quality speakers or headphones, mac speakers don't really cut it (ever).

Nyle

Remember Nyle?

Oh yeah, that guy. I've been jamming to his albums lately, and I've gotta share my two favorite. His light hearted lyrics and creative presentation of music is so stylistically unique, that you won't be able to help but enjoy something so musically different in a rapper.

Nyle - NYU
Nyle - Bye Philly

I may have posted about these songs before, but I finally got the mp3s. More Nyle to come for sure.

Fire It Up, Firemouse

Yet another flawless mashup from The Hood Internet. God, I love these guys.

The Hood Internet - Fire It Up, Firemouse (Lil' Wayne vs Modest Mouse)

"Ain't nobody fuckin' with me man."

By the way, Gorillaz are releasing their latest album soon, Plastic Beach, and so far what I've heard is sick. I'll probably buy it or cop it sometime this weekend, and post a few tracks, be ready for that.

B.o.B

I've been jamming out to this somewhat old B.o.B track a lot recently, it features Cobra Starship of all groups, and they actually are the perfect addition to the track. Enjoy this one.

B.o.B feat. Cobra Starship - The World Will Never Do

The Cataracs

My day has been made after stumbling upon these two guys. This is just amazing music. The mixtape will please hip hop lovers and alternative music lovers and really everything in between. I'll leave you with a few of my favorite, but you should grab the whole mixtape here, and check out their website here.

The Cataracs - Ice Cream Paint Job Remix
A chill remix of Ice Cream Paint Job featuring unbelievable vocals and appropriately matching instrumentals.

The Cataracs - Sippin' Champagne
A song that I could see blowing up, at least in the blogging world. I'd compare it to a slower jam equivalent to "Shirt Off." Way more chill, but musically, just as well put together.

The Catarcs - Undercover
Try listening to the chorus (0:58) and not singing it for the rest of the day.

Hood Stew

Shouts to 'White Folks' for this one. DJ Slink mashes some green day and Gorilla Zoe.
